Alandra Tinto

Country: Portugal Region: Alentejo

Varietal: Moreto / Castelão / Trincadeira

Vintage: 2023 Colour: Red Style: Dry

Producer: Herdade Do Esporáo

Description:
The Esporão Estate is one of the largest and oldest domains in the Alentejo region, lead by flying winemaker David Baverstock. The exceptional climatic conditions; good light, hot sun, humid Atlantic breezes from the Northwest and the unique xistous and vulcanic soils, constitute the origins for the outstanding wines of Esporão. The red is a complex wine with great depth of fruit and a long flavoursome palate, good oak integration and soft tannins.

Tasting Note:
Alandra is a blend of Moreto, Castelão, and Trincadeira. Even if you're not familiar with these grapes, this red is hard not to like; ample ripe berry, including black cherry, blackcurrant, and a hint of spice are supported by gentle tannins to create a delightfully food-friendly wine. Product of Portugal Alcohol by Volume 13
