Dark red fruit, leather, dried herbs, graphite and cloves build in the glass, adding layers of textural resonance and body. Hints of black cherry, chocolate, licorice, new leather and a kiss of French oak build into the resonant finish.

Exudes classic Cabernet character, with blackberry fruit, graphite and a hint of new cedar on the nose. The full-bodied palate is defined by precise, fine-grained tannins and a polished structure. The quality and depth are exceptional, delivering a quintessential Mondavi Reserve. Though approachable now, the tannin structure is still quite pronounced, so waiting is advised. The blend contains 7% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged for 21 months in 100% new French oak. Winemaker Kurtis Ogasawara emphasises that they sought Cabernet Sauvignon with true ageworthy quality in 2022.
