After 30 months in French and American barriques, the Gran Reserva Solar from Amezola de la Mora is bottled. This long storage gives it its typical Rioja aroma; the additional bottle storage afterwards ensures that it is practically ready to drink when released. It has an intense reddish color with a slight browning on the edge, characteristic of the long barrel aging. Fine on the nose, spicy and slightly roasted notes. Delicious, but also complex, mouth-filling, with light balsamic accents, but also enough freshness in a long and elegant finish.
