Martin Codax Albarino

Country: Spain Region: Rias Baixas

Varietal: Albarino Vintage: 2024

Colour: White Style: Dry

Producer: Bodegas Martin Códax

Albariño wine (“alba-reen-yo”) is a delightfully refreshing coastal white that grows on the Iberian Peninsula. It’s loved for its rich stone fruit flavours, a hint of salinity, and zippy acidity. Excellent quality and Value and ideal accompaniment to seafood and shellfish fresh from the sea.

Martin Códax is linked to art and culture because from the beginning, the winery has supported all types of cultural and art expressions; from the most traditional ones to the most vanguard in the last few years. In this way, the winery has taken Galician culture to all of the parts of the world where Martín Códax is available.

Tasting Notes:
For the palate, expect notes of lemon, lime, grapefruit, pear and even a hint of beeswax. With a bit of bottle ageing, those delicious fruity flavours develop into sweeter notes of peach and apricot, and sometimes more complex notes of nuts and almond will appear.

Food Pairing:
Albariño is an absolute perfect wine match to fresh seafood – serve it chilled with the best kai moana dishes on offer. Grilled fish, calamari, oysters, mussels, clams or an antipasto platter.
